Well, as many of you know, we've had some hard times in the last three months. Financial troubles galore. It's been stressful and tight around here.
I am, however, glad to report that it's over. Well, more or less, but for now life is looking quite positive. It's a very strange feeling, really, when you've become accustomed to depression and stress and tension. James is heading back to school in a few weeks, so his student loan is coming in. Our taxes have been done and we have a sizeable chunk of money coming from that and the baby bonus as well as GST rebate checks. On top of all of that, James's pension money arrived in our account from Japan. I was expecting it to come in the mail, but clearly not. This explains why they needed our banking information. Anyone reading this familiar with a JET's monthly salary will know how much showed up, as it was roughly equivalent to three month's pay as he was there for three years. Repeat after me, Japanese speakers: SUGOI!!!!
I feel floaty. Maybe I'll get a scanner or tablet and the new computers we've been talking about ever since we sent the pension forms in. That was three or four months ago. This money could have shown up at a better time, but we aren't complaining. For the first time in ages I feel completely relaxed and happy. If James hadn't asked me to check the balance this morning, I wouldn't have known about it. Not for another couple days, anyways.
*sigh* Happiness is a feeling I couldget used to again.
